She was out of breath. She looked forward and all she could see was green, and more green. She felt like stopping, but they were all around her. The problem was she couldn’t run anymore; she felt her legs betraying her. They were slowing down, but they were right behind her. She started to remember why she was doing this; it was all because of him. He told her to do it. “ You will feel proud when you're done” he said with a grin on his face. She didn’t feel proud at all. The only thing she could hear is her breathing and her heart ready to come out her chest. Four hours ago, she was fine. She had just eaten breakfast and was really energized.
Then when she got here, she felt nervous, she could feel her heart beating, she wanted to go home and wash her mouth out with soap. She knew that wasn’t an option; he would call her a coward and a quitter. She couldn’t go back now. Her thoughts were shattered when the man in the loudspeaker said: "keep it up!" She could feel everyone looking. All she kept seeing was green, green and more green. She checked her phone and saw a message saying “don't stop and get it done; kill it!” She looked up and to her amusement, she saw some ladies. She went quickly to them and got it. Then she started running again. She had gotten her energy back. She felt alive again. Only 9 more to go! She then went faster than the wind. Then she felt her stomach sinking. She needed to go. She went inside a blue rectangular prism and let it go. She was behind. She got out in a hurry and went back. People behind her kept bumping into her and yelling move! She ignored them and kept going the other way.
She looked at the sky and it looked like it was about to start raining. She new if it started raining it would be over for her. She kept going and someone yelled out 7! She then saw a man, went up to him and got it. She then felt way better. She suddenly felt a burst of energy and kept going even faster. He was at the end of the turn. He said, “go faster they are catching up; you know what they can do to you!” She then looked back and there they were coming for her. She turned around and kept running. She kept going fast. Someone all of a sudden yelled 2! She saw a group of people gathered at the end of the trail and got it from them. She kept going strong but then rain started pouring down.
She said, “well then that’s great!” She stopped at once. Then a man yelled 1! She had to get to 0 it was only a few more ahead, she ran but couldn't; she saw the man again. “Better not stop or you ain't getting the prize,” he said. She looked at him in disgust but decided to keep going. She turned around and they were speeding up behind her. Then all of a sudden they yelled 0! She then collapsed on the floor. Unable to breathe nor feel her legs. The last thing she saw was him walking up to her then, it all turned black.
