Stranded

It was the middle of July in sunny, warm Florida. Chris and Jack were getting all packed up to go on the “Vacation of a lifetime” as jack called it. Chris however was not too enthused about the whole trip they were about to take. He explained how he wasn't really a big fan of boats or open water. Jack on the other hand was so pumped to get on that ship and get out on the open water.

Boarding the ship and leaving the mainland was quite difficult for Chris, he really didn't want to go on this trip. He would much rather stay home and watch baseball. Scoping out the area and seeing all the people they were going to be stuck on a boat on for the next two weeks was even harder for Chris. As they got on the ship the captain explained how they would be making stops at various locations and islands along the way. “I didn't know that!”, said Chris with enthusiasm as that sounded like it would be fun and interesting. As the ship made its descent away from the coast, Jack and Chris waved goodbye to everyone saying “see you soon!’, little did they know what was to come.
A day had past and the cruise seemed to be going alright. They were getting ready to make their first stop. It was on an island that was supposedly uninhabited, which seemed really cool to Jack and Chris and the rest of the passengers. As they were unloading the boat and people were going onto the island in various directions, the captain called and said for everyone to meet back in 3 hours. “3 hours!”, said Jack, “What should we do?” Chris said that they should walk off in a different direction from where all the people where going.
“What time is it?”, said Chris. Jack shrugged and said he didn't have his phone on him. Neither did Chris. They both remained calm however and decided to start walking back, figuring the boat wouldn't leave without them, or so they thought.
They couldn't seem to find their way back to coast. The island was cool however, they were taking in the scenery and that kept them calm. Of course they still thought that the boat would not leave without them. That would be crazy of them said Jack.
After a long walk they finally made it back to the beach. However, they were shocked to find out that there was no boat to be seen. “Where is the boat?’, said Chris with panic in his voice. “I really have no clue.”, said Jack. They both came to the realization that they were indeed stranded on a remote island in the middle of the ocean.
5 months later several news report came out about the missing guys. To this date they are nowhere to be found.
