Accident
He half fell, half crawled down the staircase, leaving his two legs and a fragment of his pelvis on the landing. His small intestine dragged behind him like a tail, leaving a slimy trail of blood and semi-digested food on each step. Almost immediately he began to tumble head over mangled bottom of torso, bashing his skull in on every step, continuously splattering brain matter and blood on the marble stairs. He finally slammed into the floor, sending his spine directly through both lungs and puncturing two chambers of his heart. The speed in which the spine punctured his vital organs caused his ribcage to split and expand outwards through his chest. He no longer had the capacity for thought or feeling, but his demolished body, spewing all sorts of liquids onto the antique rug, managed to give enough blood flow and oxygen to his brain, however mangled it might be, to keep him alive.
“This guy must have had a guardian angel watching his back, just a shame that he won’t ever know how lucky he really is,”
“Lucky? I wouldn’t call that lucky. Whether he could process it or not, I would bet that his body would have liked very much to die.”
“Well he’s not dead, but he sure would have gone out like any man would dream, I really wish I knew what caused this to happen,”
“Should we pull the plug?”
“Yeah”
