My Biggest Fear
The creature looked at me with its blood-red eyes. The mere presence of the beast made me feel extremely vulnerable. We’re at a standstill. Examining each other like we’re in a duel in the Wild West. I don’t dare move a muscle, because I know that as soon as I try to make a break for it, he’ll pounce on me and make me regret for the rest of my life. Then something odd happens. The creature straightens its posture, lets a tiny squeak and scurries away.
