Stacey had just walked into her house. She had just gotten home from school. Stacey looked tired she was wearing a pair of sweat pants capris and a tank top underneath a purple jacket.
“Hi”
“Hi, how was school”
“It was ok I guess just really tired and I have a really bad headache”
“I’m sorry do you have a lot of homework?”
“Yeah I do gosh it’s just so much I need to get started”.
“Okay”.
Stacey went and into the kitchen and got all of her books out and her school’s laptop. After a bit of studying she got up from her chair and went straight to the pantry to get a snack. Stacey had gone back to her homework and after a while she finished. When she was done putting all of her papers away she asked her mom if she could go to QT for a soda.
“Can I go please I am having caffeine withdrawal”
“Yes that’s fine”.
“Okay, thank you”.
“You’re welcome”
Stacey was just about to go get her purse and keys when Matt, her mom’s boyfriend came running down the hall.
“Kathy she doesn’t need to be going up there she has to save her money especially since she won't be living her all that much longer”
“She can go I’m her parent not you. And what do mean she won’t be living here much longer?”
“She will not be graduating and she is 18 now so were kicking her out she needs to know what the real world is like”.
“Matt I am not kicking my daughter out of the house she will stay here as long as she wants and there's not a damn thing you can do about it!”
“Stacey you’re not going to QT”
“Yes she is I told her she can go. Stacey go on ahead just drive safe.”
“Okay I will. I always do”.
“You're not going to QT save your money”.
“Your not my father you can’t tell me what I can and can’t do!”
Suddenly they broke into a huge argument about her being disrespectful, that he was going to turn her phone off, and how he always pays the bills and how he never has anything leftover. Then Kathy broke in the argument and told them both to just shut up and leave each other alone. After that Stacey took off towards her car and sped off.
After a bit Stacey had came back and looked better and felt better after she took that little drive to clear her head. When she finally came inside from sitting in the car after seeming like hours she was in a lot better of a mood.
