Ten Seconds Left
Ten... We're a ticking time bomb and having reached close to zero, we could either reset the time, delaying the inevitable, or just let the bomb go off. Which shall it be? The former or the latter? Nine... Well what's the point, if what comes in the end is the destruction of us? Every time we reset the time, the time that we have gets shorter and shorter until we can't reset it anymore. Eight... I might as well take a lighter and just blow us up right now. Save us the pain. Save us the trouble. But I don't want to. I'd rather delay it and die in the end, making and having as much memories I can with you til I can't anymore. Seven... So just please, please, delay it because I've used all the resets I have. Every time, somehow, I reset the inevitable bomb and I've managed to hurt us in the process. Six... I'm a klutz, didn't you know? Why don't you give it a try. If you just tried, just once, maybe, just maybe, we'd come out unscathed, come out ok like we always do. Five... Please. You're my best friend and I don't want to lose you. You mean so much to me and it hurts, as I can't stop imagining the scenario, with the bomb slowly tearing us apart, as I so desperately try to reach out to you and you looking away, oblivious to the hand of mine I've stuck out. Four... the truth? As we don't have much time left, I must admit that I liked you. But what this is about isn't just some petty crush I had on you, it's about the friendship and the future I thought we'd spend together as friends slowly disappearing from my hands. If only you would just, Three..., reach our your hands too. Just please, just so close, reach... reach... to me... reset the time... Two... I'm sorry that it had to be this way, but I'll always cherish the times we've had. Like the old cliche, don't cry because it's over, One..., Smile, laugh, be happy that it all happened. Goodbye, old cherished friend of mine... Ze-............
