The wonders of the coral reef
As I stood there on the boat with my friend Kristy, they looked at each other, “you ready?” I asked, Kristen nodded, and we put on the rest of our scuba gear. I looked into the water, I could see the white sand at the bottom, crystal clear water, the dive master nodded, we submerged into the water, the cold water surrounded me, the dive master motioned us to the water. I was amazed by the beauty of the coral reef, so many different kinds of colorful fish swam by us, I swam around for a while. I was in the depths of the ocean, I was on their turf, I saw a nemo fish swim quickly by, I swam back to the dive master, he pointed behind me, I turned to see a large grey reef shark, I marveled at the majesty of this gigantic creature of the deep. I slowly made my way over to Kristy, she was in a trance, I could see her fear, I smiled, the shark started swimming toward us, KRustylooked at me, I gave her a thumbs up she looked back at the shark. It swam slowly by us, the dive master put his hand out and touched the marvelous creature, I did the same, the rough skin brushed against me, Kristy did the same. I saw all the wonders of the coral reef swim everywhere, suddenly all of the fish rushed into their homes, even the shark swam off, the dive master motioned us to go up, I cocked my head to the side, he pointed up and I saw it, I finally saw the greatly feared Great White Shark, I was fixated on this fish, I saw KRustyheading towards the boat, the dive master and I slowly made our way to the boat. We were almost to the boat when the shark had a sudden burst of speed and barreled in our direction, I marveled at the sight, I felt the dive master push me upward, I was pulled onto the boat, we then helped the dive master back on, the shark barely missed the boat. “Kristy wasn’t that amazing!” I asked, she looked at me, “if you like to be shark bait,” we laughed and headed back to shore…I stepped onto the warm soft sand with newer eyes to marvel of the deep…
