"You sure you want to do this?" Said Chase my older brother.
"Yes I'm sure," I said with a sigh. I had to sell my house. The house me and Chase had had lived in our whole life. The hose that brought me and Chase so close together after our parents died. The house with so many memories if our childhood.
"Ashley," Chase said with a sad look on his eyes, "we don't have to sell, we can come up with the money so other way. I know it will be hard but I really don't want to see this house go tot someone else."
"No, we really need money. There is no other way," I said, "the realtor already posted the house. Go grab those boxes while I finish packing up the kitchen." There were so many memories in this house, but sometimes you have to let good things go.

I brought the last if the boxes to the moving van outside. The house was nearly empty, except for my fathers study that me and Chase were never allowed in when we were kids. I had hardly been in there since my parents died, and I hardly went in there now because it reminded me so much of my parents with all the family photos on the walls. "We'll, I guess I would have to do this eventually," I said putting some books on the book self onto a cardboard box that would go onto the moving van when I was finished. I would sort through all of the things in this room later, and decide what I wanted to keep and what could go to Goodwill. Chase came into the room to grab some more boxes.
"Need me to take that box?" He asked.
"Yeah, please," I said.
Ding Dong! The doorbell rang unexpectedly as Chase when to pick up the box. I went and opened the door. A sweet looking old lady was standing at my door. She was old, probably late seventies with white hair that looked stiff to the touch. We was very short and was looking up at me. "Can I help you?" I said. The lady smiled up at me.
"Oh yes you can!" Said the old lady. She was trying to look around me into the house. "I saw your for said sign in the front hard and though I would stop by and have a look." She seemed very sweet but something about her didn't feel right.
"Oh well you're really supposed to call the realtor and she'll show you around, but I guess we can give you a personal tour," I said as Chase came up behind me.
"Yes please come in, we're still packing up our things so excuse the mess," said Chase, thinking nothing of the old lady being there. "I'm Chase and this is my sister Ashley."
"I'm Ester," said the old lady.

We began showing her the downstairs, going into every room. Ester seemed very interested, asking questions. We came into the study. There were still lots of things in here, we hadn't gotten to packing the entire room yet. "Yes, just as I remember..." Ester said under her breath.
"Sorry what was that?" I said
Ester smiled aging, "Oh sorry dear, it was nothing." Chase entered the room and told me we had to go bring the boxes to the storage unit before it closed. I turned to the old lady, "I'm sorry but that's all the time we have, do you have any questions?"
"Not a question really," she turned to us, and her smile turned from sweet to ferocious, "more of a statement." She reached for her ours hanging from her should and pulled out a gun. I starred to get very nervous, thinking if reasons why an old sweet lady would have a gun. "Stand in that corner!" She motioned for me and Chase to go sand in a corner at the far end of the room.
"What are you doing?" Asked Chase sounding scared.
"We'll you see, unused to live here when I was younger, when I turned 18 my parents sold the house. I never got the chance to come back and get it." Said Ester.
"Get what?" I said.
"The money," she said, eyes scanning the floor. "When I was about 16 me and my best friend wanted to go away and move. We couldn't stand this town. One night we were out late and an opportunity came along to get some money, and we took it. We robbed a very wealthy man. We took almost all of his money and hid it. After that we were really scared. We didn't plan as well as we should have. We didn't really think it would work, anyone could have seen us, so we hid the money and never talked about it or used it. After a while, after I moved I completely forgot about the money, until recently," Ester was scanning the floor still glancing up to make sure we hadn't moved, she continued, "I need the money now, more than ever."
"Where did you hide it?" I asked.
"Under one of these floor boards. I think it's this one..." She said looking at one near the far wall of the room. She went over to it and stepped in it. The floor bored squeezed under her weight. She bent down to try to pull the floor board up. Then suddenly, Ester fell back and stared trying to grab her heart, and then went still. Ester had just had a heart attack, and I think she died. Chase went over to her and checked her pulse
"I think she's dead...." Chase said, still scared.

A few hours later the olive were finally leaving. We called them after Ester had a heart attack. They told us she was dead. I was still curious about the money Ester was talking about so I called Chase to come pull back the floor board. Under neath the exact one Ester said was two shoe boxes filled to the top with hundred dollar bills. I looked to Chase, we were thinking the same thing, we were rich.
