Happiest Moment Of My Life
One of the happiest moments of my life was meeting my boyfriend. I met him last year of September. I remember exactly the way it happened. It was a rainy day, and I had on a black polo shirt, with ripped blue jeans, and the new Jordan's that just came out. I was getting registered into the Jim Thorpe Senior High School. At first I had this butterfly feeling in my stomach, but as I turned my head to the left, there he was standing there talking to his friends. My sister told me to talk to him, but I was nervous. I mean I was the new girl. Inside of me, I was dying to talk to him, but on the outside, I was very shy.
My face began to turn like a tomato. He was getting closer and closer to me. As I walked to the bathroom, I was acting like I didn’t see him coming, so that he could bump into me. I thought it was all a dream, but it wasn’t. I was walking like I had confidence. Pretty soon, he bumped into me. He asked me my name, and I asked him his. We sat together in lunch, and we became close friends.
Days went by and we exchanged numbers, he asked if I wanted to go to the movies. I was nervous to say yes, but I managed to pull myself together and say it. He picked me up around 7:30, and we went to see Insidious. It was a new scary movie that just came out. He paid for my ticket, drink, and my candy. He asked me if I was nervous, and I told him very. It was about 7:58, and the movie was about to start.
We sat down next to each other. I was so nervous, I started trembling. The feeling that I had wasn’t nervousness, it was more like a feeling of just kiss me already. I kept staring at his big beautiful lips. They looked so juicy, but I had to pull myself together. It was now 8:00, and the movie had just started. He started holding my hand, and he could feel me shaking.
He asked “Excuse me, you’re not scared are you?”
I replied “Are you kidding? I love scary movies!”
He then answered “No, I mean are you scared to be on this date? You’re shaking like crazy. Haha.. It’s okay. I’m right besides you.”
I smiled, and my eyes focused on the movie. As the movie got scarier, and scarier, I got closer and closer. Pretty soon, I was under his arm, hiding like a little baby. After the movie was over, we walked to the arcade section. We started playing a few games. He put his hat on my head, and I felt as if I were in heaven. I know it sounds weird, but that’s just how I felt.
I inserted a coin in the basketball machine, and started playing. I missed about 3 shots. He said I was a good basketball player, and should play for the team. I played again, but this time he guided me through it. He taught me how to hold the ball correctly, and he taught me how the ball should go.
A few months later, he asked me out. I remember it as if it was just yesterday. My Father wanted to meet him. So my Father came down from New York, and told me to call my boyfriend, and tell him to come over. My boyfriend arrived at my house around 11:00 A.M. I introduced him to my Father, and my Father immediately loved him.
My Father said “Aye meng, you a nice guy. Are you treating my daughter right?”
Marc replied “Of course sir, I love your daughter very much. She’s my everything.”
I jumped into the conversation and said “Yes daddy, he does. I love him alot.”
My Father said “Good! As long as you’re happy, I’m happy.”
My boyfriend and I both smiled, and continued to play basketball. I beat him 21 to 15. I teased him about it, and he began to get mad. It was so funny!
Now that I think about it, my boyfriend is the only close thing I have. I’m always talking about him, and he always talking about me. It’s kind of weird though, but I love him, and that’s all that matters. He’s my one and only, and it’s going to stay like that for a very long time.
