&ldquo;I am weird, you are weird. Everyone in this world is weird. One day two people come together in mutual weirdness and fall in love.&rdquo; <br /> ― Dr. Seuss

Crisp, cool air envelopes the world. Only hours before the world was warm and flush with life, and everything was colorful and bright. The cities lights had lit the sky and then it ended. The meteorites came and went, rearranging the landscape.
Large palm tree with big, flat leaves line the beach as the sun slowly dips into the ocean. The moon slowly rises from the mountains in the distance and turns the palm leaves a grayscale color. Tyrannosaurus-Rex stand hidden in the trees near large caves; dinner sits outside the entrance to the cave torn apart. A group of the T-Rex’s allies are walking along the dirt street, scouring for food. One sees the carcass lying at the mouth of a nearby cave and runs toward it. It looks up toward the others after examining the remains and calling for its friends. Before the others can arrive, a large mouth comes down onto of the small dinosaur. Scared, the others run in all directions. There is a rumble and a sound of scuffling from the cave and then everything’s quiet.
Dirty waste land stretches out for miles, mud covers most of the ground; a small Triceratops is romping around and analyzing its surroundings. The parched land doesn’t really help the thirsty Triceratops, and slowly it moves along the clay giving no promises there is water anywhere close by.
Large rock falling from the exosphere, enter the thermosphere; they spread out flying in all different directions, collecting speed, losing altitude, collecting speed, losing altitude. The ground explodes dirt-and-mud landscape is thrown in all directions. In the distance palm trees are knock to the ground, roaring is gone unheard by the creaking and cracking of palm tree trunks snapping. The waves are rushing up from an aftershock pulling the wood and rocks into the waves. A moss covered cave is hit by a near falling boulder; a low grumbling is heard through the heavy sound of the falling brick. Boulders are swept into the sea along with remnants of small scavengers; palm leaves lie on dirty beaches. A final huff is heard from under a large section of boulders. A blanket of dirt and rubble follows the destruction along with darkness and complete silence.
Crisp, cool air envelopes the world. Only seconds before the world was warm and flush with life, and everything was colorful and bright. The cities’ lights had lit the sky and then it ended, the meteorites came and went, rearranging the landscape.

I was inspired to write this piece, because I wanted to show that I could write more than short poems and narrative essays. I hope people can see that am a strong writer.
