This is my unusual essay on how my life turned around in an instant. How I got to focus on my School work if I want to make a living.

Seeing my mom cook my favorite meals is what inspired me. The things that she just randomly threw in opened my eyes like if I saw people throwing money away for free. I walked up to my mom and the only thing that came out of my mouth was,” you got to show me how to do that”. She laughed and said,” Ok but it will take time and determination if you want to do this”. I gave her the, I am ready look and she gave me a look saying no your not. The three things that she said I would have to do in order to be ready were Knife skills, Creativity, and Cooking. I told her,” why knife skills, I got those already. She chopped a carrot in thin pieces in less than 2 seconds. I was amazed.

We started our knife skill training. I got cuts here and there. It was all a pain but man was it good to learn how to cut fast. I felt as fast as light. It took me like months to learn how to cut fast. I got my thumb cut and that was the first time I saw so much blood. After that I put my thumb behind my fingers so my thumb won’t interfere with my cutting.

My creativity was good but it was scattered all over the place. I had to focus it on one point. That point was on what I was trying to create. It took me a week to do that. That part wasn’t hard at all. So we decided to move to the next thing.

Then came the best part, Cooking. It was amazing. The flames color is blue but the higher you turn it up the color of the flame changes. The food is sizzling on the pan. The smell was awesome. The touch of it was tender. When I tasted it. Man I could not believe how good it was. I let my mom taste. She said it was awesome. That meant a lot to me.

All I am trying to say is that cooking turned my life around. It gave me creativity, gave me focus. I can focus more in school and I can think clearer no. So follow your dream no matter the risks are.
