It was cold… Gloomy… Depressing. For Tyler, his eternal vampiric life was torn to pieces after the Tiger Clan killed his true love, Serena. She was seventeen when she was murdered by a vampire clan that Tyler had hated for almost twenty years. She was murdered because it was against the vampire code to love a human and protect them with their eternal life. For what they had done to Serena, Tyler felt avenging her death was completely necessary.

The Tiger Clan was a powerfully elite, yet lethal, vampire group that would fight and eventually kill those of whom that chose to defy their meaningless claim for the sacred sword of the mysterious tree of serenity. With the knowledge of their secret hide-out, Tyler crept throughout the dark forest to be undetected. He walked to the head guard of the gate to an underground lair, where the clan would stay out of the sunlight during the day.

“What’s the password?” demanded the guard, who had been given very strict orders not to let outsiders into the lair. Tyler’s face was so well hidden, the guard never recognized the seemingly twenty-two year old vampire.

“The password is…” he said, smirking beneath the hood of his cloak, “Bloodshed of serene depression.” The guard opened the door stepping aside, allowing him to pass through a barrier that no one could easily detect.

When the door was securely locked again, the plot to destroy the clan was going as he had expected. The clan leader, Donovan, was sitting upon his throne, contemplating the most efficient way to the mysterious tree of serenity.

He stood there for a second and looked up about the hall. Seeing some guards posted along the sides of the room, he smiled knowing that it should be more than easy to accomplish the simplest task of killing them. He looked up at Donovan.

“I have found you!” Everyone speaking suddenly became silent. “Your dark deeds shall be justified! We had done nothing wrong, you yet you stole everything from me! You had no right and no business! We had done nothing wrong to you nor anyone else!”

“You have broken the laws and you have paid the price… her life!” he shouted back, “Now get out of my lair!” He waved his hand.

“Never!” Tyler screamed in fury.

“Very well, then.” He slowly rose from his throne, walking towards him. He looked deep into Tyler’s demented soul and growled in anger. “She stood in the way of us staying on this ghastly earth until the end of time, you fool! Besides, she was a pathetic mortal, one of whom you should not have loved in the first place.”

Tyler’s rage couldn’t go without an attack of some form being made straight for the leader. The members of the clan had been executed by the leader after murdering youthful Serena. A stake of pure oak hid beneath his solid black cloak. The leader himself had faced assassination attempts before, but not one where one of his kind was out to see him die for the cruel and repulsive thing he had done.

Donovan had great powers of unbelievable capabilities. The stronger the enemy, the more of a challenge there would be in battle. Silver arrows that killed the clan had been on the great walls for a matter of years. With the wave of his arm, arrows shot towards Tyler at a shocking speed. Tyler aimed very carefully, trying not to be destroyed in the process, throwing the stake so quickly that his target was immediately tapped to the wall. A shriek of immense terror was about, one that even the guard could not ignore.

Justice had been done. It felt sweet, having gained the revenge he wanted. He knew now that Serena’s memory was at peace forever now. The guard had fired a silver arrow from a crossbow, shooting Tyler in the heart. He didn’t care. His mission was complete. He had his sweet revenge.
