You Are What You Eat by Jordan Fifer

“ I have heard that the best way to learn about a person is to have a meal with him. I would argue that you could find out just as much by asking, “paper or plastic?”and then looking inside.” This quote came from a great story called “You are What You Eat” In this story the writer Jordan Fifer talks about working at a market in a small town. Jordan talks about the costumers, and what can be inferred about them from the groceries they buy. These simple little observations and glimpses of prior knowledge allowed Jordan to see through the lies and makeup of the people in the town. This story really made me think about the people in my town, it told me to not judge a book by its cover.
