I lie under the dark cover of night.
It's creeping around me,
Edging its way closer, still.
I look to the sky for refuge.
I find one star;
The only one in the darkness,
But as I see its dim light shining down on me
I feel safe.
The darkness will not take me tonight.

perfect. i love how anyone could relate to this if they wanted to because the star could be anything or anyone you wish. i am honored someone who writes so well liked my own work. and for that i thank you.
