Child of the Night

Jaw flexes as fangs slide out, razor sharp
Sinister smirk turns to menacing leer
Every sensation heightened, in a warp
Soon it will all be over, blood will smear
Lifeless victims falling, left and right, ‘thud’!
Two harmless puncture wounds showcase the bite
Driven by torment and a lust for blood
It’s the power of the child of the night
But nature can impose limits, control
Wooden stake through the heart will end them quick
Burning rage and grief dominate the soul
Cannot come inside unless you are tricked
Greatest weakness of night’s child is the sun
  Still remain undefeatable, you’re done
