Leaving La Salle
Filled with 'last times' and nostalgic goodbyes
The high school years are far behind now
Scared yet excited of what such implies
We step into the cap and gown anyhow.
Leaving behind the dreary khaki pants
Can't say that I'll miss the no hoodie life
Six a.m. bells and those Sunday-night rants,
Midnight deadlines that made up my night life.
Since these four years have truly flown by,
I will surely miss the school's daily grind
And Mr. K who's a pretty wise guy,
  Essentially good compared to mankind.
Though it is now the time to leave La Salle,
I will always be a lion royale.
