I am no master, I know nothing.

As the sun starts to descend
from the sky,
children are summoned back into their homes.
Swingsets call to them,
but there's no reply
Quiet falls onto the sad garden gnomes.
Flowers close;
for they only enjoy day
and sounds of dark creatures begin to stir.
Headlights flash the street,
but soon go away
yet this small disturbance is only a blur.
Beaming gems hang up high in the night.
At this time, absent minds
are in deep thought
with dreams of pearl, quartz and malachite,
as insomniac eyes
remain bloodshot.

I see the rays of a newly born sun
this, a signal; a new day has begun.

I can't drown my demons; they know how to swim.

This is really good, actually! The diction is really good, it creates a really vivid image, and I think that's nice. But, I don't wanna like take over or anything, but maybe fix the last two lines? To make it more eye catching.
