What is it you say when your insecure?
What goes through your mind?
What is that terrifying tick,
that tick you can't find?
Am I beautiful to you?
Am I beautiful to me?
Or is there another face, oppose from the mirror,
that I picture myself to be?
Why don't I feel good enough?
Why do I feel distraught?
Why do I feel like I've been running forever but I've always been caught?
But when I see you I see Beauty
I see a character that is Devine.
I just can't find that in me
and it hurts sometimes.
Others ask me why do I have those moments of doubt?
Why do I feel this way?
Honestly I do not know
I wish I could find the answer to say.
I feel this, I feel that, and everything above,
but I guess the one thing I need to find within myself for myself
Is love...

The author's comments:

we all have our insecurities, whether we embrace them or don't it is best to be aware of them. I feel like these questions in the poem are questions that can run through a girl's mind. I know they have in mine.
