darkness

o haunt me gently
sweet darkness
show me mercy
in attentive hold
upon my own sanity
keep your grasp loose
please,do not crush me
i am only human
subjectably weak
to my distant thoughts
that flutter in the breeze
i am merely a mortal
a man upon his knees
a man before you
who begs and who pleads
for mercy,for kindness
for his teetering sanity
a man who cries
a man who sings
a man who remains a pawn
in the game humanity
lacking the will to live
show mercy,have pity
oh beautiful darkness
please, haunt me gentley

it feels submissive. like, you've fought so long & you just want to surrender with your mind & pride intact. like you've lost sight of why we struggle, or if we need to struggle at all
