The Book
Reading on with pages flying,
I turned and saw the main character expiring.
In my heart, a furious fire burned
As I imagined the author frying.
I flung the wretched thing against a wall,
Watching it warily, a cursed book
Yet again wishing the author’s downfall.
The one I once admired, I forsook.
My misery was assured, so it seemed.
With nothing to lose, I gave it a look. The ending was great; the story redeemed.
My world was righted by this awesome book.
Something I learned- don’t jump to conclusions
It might leave you with harmful illusions
