Sadness
My heart is filled with dismay and despair,
Courage and charm has fled my tortured soul.
For my wrong doings has left my slate bare
I toil through life in pain and in sorrow
The smell of the air makes my nostrils flare
Mustering my strength, which is now hollow
My kin are gone, for they know of my sin
I follow a stream that trickles and gleams
It reminds me of an older person
Although the stream still has life abundantly
Once busting with verve, now lying dormant without fear
His time has come and the beam has gone away
However, his time on Earth will be known
For the mark of sorrow he has left will never go.
