I'll Never Be Good Enough For You

I will never be good enough for you.
Slowly, I count down the numbers one by one.
You can’t deny it; you know it’s true.
I count the numbers down until there’s none.
You want me to give up and say “I’m done.”
I look at the letter the numbers made.
Do you want me to leave and just be gone?
Would you simply like to make a fair trade?
Go ahead; let’s switch me for straight A grades.
However, I am not giving up yet.
The voice of ignorance begins to fade.
Is this the absolute best I can get?
I know I’m stronger than you think I am.
I’ll make it through this or I’ll be damned.
