Like Broken Glass
Broken shards glisten down my winding road,
 Each piece a memoir of memories past.
 My glass heart more fragile than I had showed
 For every snarl and insult you cast, 
 I turn my should on what you call love.
 Distance, growing, changing- I am new,
 An Eden that you are not a part of.
 This Mecca, a journey away from you.
 You realize too late, your sorrow sets in.
 The path I walk, my steps untraceable.
 The words that you speak, they only breed sin.
 While your steps grow weak, my steps grow stable.
 Your toxic live I will never forget,
 Walking away you will always regret.
