This Time
Oh lonely broken heart
Why did I let you fall apart
 I should have protected you
But that’s something I failed to do

I let you fall for that act
 Perception is what I lack
I never saw past the charade
It cut through you like a blade

The pieces scattered on the floor
The pain lies deep within your core
So many cuts that left you bleeding
Even though you kept on pleading

 Feeling broken and alone
 You've turned into cold stone
Your trust is gone like the wind
 You will never love again

 Oh my lonely broken heart
How could I let you fall apart
That’s the thing I failed to do
This time I will protect you
