The Tree

What is a forest that is just one tree?
With no more trees to occupy the land
the only tree that you see now would be
with no more friends or family at hand.
Please don’t think it’s alone because of this
for bird fly by and sing their songs away
the wind whispers to me with a soft kiss
and squirrels come by to visit through the day.
The sweet aroma laces in the breeze
like actors on a stage, leaves play and dance
flowers bloom at the sight of honeybees
and mice come out at a good circumstance.
What is a forest that is just one tree?
Not a forest, but a community.

I've always wanted to write a sonnet. It has been my goal for a long time, and I've finally gotten around to do it. Sonnets are fun to make, but very difficult.
