High school seems so far away,
yet coming closer with every day.
Almost out of our grade school years
now soon to be freshman along with our peers.

Things will be different,
and things will be the same.
We have got to step out
of our fun and games.

Deadlines are closer
and projects start to grow,
but our knowledge is expanding
along with what we need to know.

Friends will be lost.
Friends will be gained.
Coming and going
as our attitudes are tamed.
