I Pity the Dark
As adolescents we are blind to typical sight
 Unrelenting reasons surround me
Only with time can we discover that truth is right
The realization as sharp as the sting of a bee

We are surrounded by darkness as sudden as the blowing of a fuse
Only to be unlocked by an un possessed key
We are blind to intention like a lady feeling used
Our minds becoming crippled by each cruel remark

But with each sunrise we are no longer confused
Ever so confidently we are ready to embark
No reason not to admit my fright
 I pity the dark

One after another we come to seek the light
I too, have the gift of sight
