Opening Day
An early game means early drinking
the hometown Orioles were 4 and 0
The guy behind me said, “ three beers?’ Ditto!
I bet that’s what the streaker was thinking,
and then a catastrophe was brinking.
Below we heard the chant of “Lets go O’s.”
Beer on my jacket--a real good fellow,
Nonetheless, he would send me home stinking.

By the ninth inning everyone’s your friend.
The smell of beer was heavy in the air.
Drinking, fighting, streaking--I would not commend.
The police were giving me quite a stare,
but the game was still quite fun to attend.
No other summer night could quite compare.
