The Lace Wrapped Heart

Tears stain my eyes
My chest burns with pain
Torn out of grief
My thoughts have gone away
Cotton lines my head
Lace lines my heart
Covered up in fabric
That isn't lace but scars
Drowning in the place
That isn't what it seems
Not to be convinced
Not to be believed
