Winter Song

February 7, 2011
By Anonymous

The last leaves are gone
And the trees are bare
The snow starts to fall from the sky
Kissing the branches
Dusting the ground
The fairies beginning their flight

They float through the air
And dance on the breeze
Whispering this winter's greeting
Snowflakes like footsteps
Echoing the sigh
Of autumn's final retreating

A soft snowy blanket
Clean shining white
Beautiful sight to behold
Icy fresh sheen
Glistening with the
Sunshine falling like gold

Silence of trees
Silence of snow
Silence 'till fairies awake
Dancing crystals
Laughing wind
Singing of winter and snowflakes
