learn from your past to live for the future.

Hey, it's you again
I think I've seen you before
Back when this all began

When they opened that door
When they opened my eyes
And now I can't ignore

The truth they made from lies
The mirror of false hope
Something in me dies

As my mind begins to grope
For the reality of before
My my mind's interlope

With beauty, the false world
Of hate, of spite and false integrity
Where scarring sores and hissing whores

Seduce the mind from virginity
Stealing innocence and life
Ravishing unsafe purity

Diseased ideas that strike
Down fleeting calls of righteousness
That fade into the whispering night

How far is one's abrasiveness
Allowed to advance into young minds?
Till what was done is counted less?

Love, they say, leaves flaws behind
But love has changed, they made it so
Tell me, what is love to your mind?

How far are you willing to go
For the touch of passion's heated lust
Or a kiss, gentle and slow?

You've given up my childish trust
Your soul's been raped, destroyed
And conceived is the child of disgust

And though the midnight was enjoyed
Beauty's passing, the scars stay
Only darkness was employed

And you've made me a stranger today
Looking back into a mirror of doubt
To what they had to say

The author's comments:
Everything I believed about the world was turned upside-down. Ugliness and Beauty were changed to me, until Beauty is what the mirror tells you, and not your mind.
