I Hate Math
The numbers swirl like cyclones
 Across the God-forsaken board
 I don't "get" anything written
 My life is but endured

And people jump up, hand raised,
 Knowing it all by heart
 How I wish I knew
 Just one geometric part.

But yet, I sit in silence.
 While variables and things
 Swirl and multiply and add
 The nothingness is killing.

So kids doodle in their pages
And I squirm in my seat
 Understanding Algebra
 Is no easy feat.

 y=mx+b.
 Do you comprehend?
I'd rather be eaten by a crocodile
 At every corner bend.

 The teacher's speaking gibberish
 The students all don't know.
The numbers are in, what, Japanese?
 Do I like math?! NO!
