Before the Moment Lets Go
Only until this moment ends for me,
I let my thoughts drift slowly back to you,
Your eyes are the streetlamps shining so bright,
The world falls back and leaves just you and me.
Your touch so soft reminds me of us free,
Your name glows bright on the block list at night,
It tries to pull me closer by its light,
Too scary for me; I don’t want to see.
Morning “notis” question if I should stay,
I find my thoughts still holding you so near,
The world grows loud but you don't fade away.
Your sight moves through every doubt and fear
For even when the quiet turns to day
My heart leans back to feel your presence near
