Being gone isn’t always gone,

 You're used to people saying goodbye and you don’t see them but they aren’t gone. 

You walk in a lightly lit room and can see the people in it but in the dark when you can’t.

That doesn’t mean the people there are gone.

In cultures death doesn’t mean you are gone.

In life being medically dead doesn’t even mean you're gone.

A celebrity dying but still has impact doesn’t mean they’re gone

But being someone that is gone, can happen in seconds.

One while working hard to make sure our family had a smooth move to their apartment, it was a hot July day.

So moving while barely having water with the sun beaming didn’t have men in the best moods.

Finally getting a semblance of a rest I went inside and got a can of soda. 

walking down the hallway mom was talking to our family member when she suddenly got a call.

Her smile from answering faded quickly as the person on the other end of the line explained some of the most heart wrenching news.

In a city of violence one of our family members was hurt badly and we didn’t know if they were gonna make it.

But gone isn’t gone I know I'll see them again, just not before I see everyone else.
