Once upon a time…

Is how most fairytales start.

It was a time in which happy endings rhyme;

Books have kept me up so much

I might need a coffee cart.

Caffeine is well intended to keep me up a touch,

Unhealthy habits are things I need to kick.

Books provide an escape. 

Books with characters climbing trees and  ridges

Flying with a cape.

Books have been my first great love

Books have their own little world within the pages. 

Silver tongues when reading pull the characters from their world,

Ripped from their homes, families, and friends.

Books have provided a solitude, 

In which I escape to read. 

Read til there is nothing left
