Yellow

When I was young I loved all of the colors.
But not for long while childhood faded.
And I wanted to do more for others
But when you were there I was persuaded.
When you left me, my happy went with you
I no longer like the color yellow
I don’t feel yellow, all I feel is blue
You ripped me out of my yellow meadow.
Yellow, too happy a color for me
Not even one shade can I really stand
Deep in the dark black shadows I will be
I will get over you and take gods hand.
Today I am taking my yellow back,
No longer will I be left in the black

My friends always ask me why I do not like the color yellow and the answer to that is, I haven't felt yellow (happy) since I was very young where no one had really hurt me they way I've been hurt in more recent events but through the grace of god I will find my yellow again!💛
