Good friends we have lost On the way to Africa But back to the struggle Where all my fellow Rastas Are held captive No change around my feet Darkness covers my light There’s nothing you can do Not a stick Not a spiff Not even a puff Everyone feels high Laughing like a clown Like a free civilian Good friends we have lost On the way to Africa But back to the struggle Where all my fellow Rastas Are held captive I’m never gonna get my share They can fool some people But there’s nothing you can do But crying is pointless Just imagine where faith would lead you When you’re done trying Good friends we have lost On the way to Africa But back to the struggle Where we’re held captive (fade out)
