my defeat

No one can beat the heat
No one alive
We must all sleep
Or we are going to die
It is ten to five
And this war has begun
I dont know why
But something must be done
It was in the dead of night
The dread set in
Thats when the snake did bite
Its venom changed my men
Will fought till death
With so much blood
They felt my wrath
And sunk into the mud
A shot rang out
I sank to my knees
Thats when i started to doubt
And death grabbed hold of me
With my final word
I shouted retreat
Then the sword
Brought my defeat
