"'For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but My steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed' says the Lord who has compassion on you." Isaiah 54:10

Do this

Do that

Be good

You know you have to measure up

Your looks

Your weight

Your works

You know you have to measure up

I wear this moral mask

To justify myself

To prove that I'm worth something

Significant & loved

Tear off my moral mask

Oh God, it holds me back

From basking in the glory

That you would love a wretch like me

Your life

Your love

Your service

Christ, I know You measured up

Your faith

Your trust

Your worship

I know You measured up

You measure up for me

Why do I wear this moral mask

To justify myself?

To prove that I am worth something

Significant & loved

Rip off my moral mask!

Oh God, it holds me back

From understanding the reality

You really love this wretch You see

Cause when I look into the mirror

My heart fills with lies

"How could anyone love me

When I am so despised?"

Then my eyes are lifted up

They're pointed to the skies

I am not loved for my own merits

But for the sake of Christ!

Don't wear the moral mask

You can't justify yourself

Jesus is the precious jewel

We're significant & loved

Shred my moral mask to bits

Oh God, it holds me back...

From realizing deep down inside

You always will be mine
