Drenched and Weary
  Fire crackles down the horizon
  Oceans sway from natures breathe!
The pale blue dot, still in motion
And my soul, it still can’t rest!
Thunder cries out, splits the darkness
Still I wonder blindly through the night!
I see in flashes, through the lightning
And it reveals the human plight!
War drenched and weary, yet still alone!
I hear death a ringin’ on my phone
We all seem lost and going down!
All the people searchin’ for what can’t be found
And we’re all still running, round and round
The world keeps chugging, spinning round
And I’ll keep my peace till I’m in the ground
And I’ll keep on searchin’ for the golden sound
My bones were rattled by the echoes
Left ringing out from yesterday’s fight
The world’s still standing, yet unstable
Only we can restore the light…
