Open your eyes
You think Christians are the only ones with narrow minds?
Denominations, telling you they’re the only ones who are right,
Determination, might convince you might equals right,
Frustration, were all the same, were all the same.
This is not alright, none of this is alright.
Which church is feeding you lies,
Like God’s a dude and you’ll go to hell if you think pigs are food,
Empty minds, no inspiration.
Empty hearts, money institution.
Your God is a bar code, you’re so used to it you don’t even notice your load
Of convenient truths and hollow wisdom.
A scanner is a heart monitor for canned goods, so what does that make you?
Tinman taking communion, frozen with a wafer halfway to his mouth and ankle deep it bank notes.
Open your eyes, God is not an institution, and he sure as hell isn’t the Vatican.
Men are just puppets, self-inflicted strings on a meat mannequin.
Empty needles, broken bottles,
Empty stomachs, beaten daughters.
Open your eyes, this is not okay.
One more day of political white noise, when are you people going to find your own voice?
You sway in the wind like a broken neck, giving your vote to whoever tells you what you want to hear, and you never stop to think this is a system built out of fear tactics and public semantics, splitting hairs and electric chairs.
Politicians will never choke on lies, they thrive on them, they can only strangle on power ties.
Open your eyes and see that none of this is alright.
