Homecoming
Waiting, waiting, waiting for you to show,
Flowers in hand ready to go.
  The excitement was high
Waiting for the plane to fly by.
  Time went by to slow,
So I just kept looking at that flag fly high in the sky,
Ready for myself to jump into your arms
And never have you let me go.
Finally I see it, coming in for the land,
Tears streaming down my face like a waterfall,
At last I see you walk off the plane,
Excitement clearly spread across your face.
I couldn’t take it any longer,
Sprinting through the crowds just for you to hold me again,
We made eye contact and there was no going back
I was so glad to have my dad back.
