"There's nothing like a sore stomach from laughing for all the right reasons."-Perks of Being a Wallflower

There is a piece of me that will not let go
Why? Why call the doctor now?
It’s too late to let him know
You’re busy lying, bleeding on the bathroom floor
It took me hours just to find the key to unlock the door
Too late, I guess I didn’t come in time
While you draw lines and castles
And listen to the shattered wind chimes
What are we going to do? What are we going to do?
I’m sorry, I really wished that I could have saved you.
But again, bad timing, I came a second too late
Couldn’t save you from that inevitable fate.
There is a piece of me that will not stop screaming
I will never see your face again
Even if I am dreaming
Was it my fault? Did I cut too deep,
Or did you push too hard, and fall too steep?
Sorry, sorry, sorry my words will never be enough
They never were, were they? The going got tough.
There is a piece of me.
But there is no peace in me.

This is inspired by the "To Write Love On Her Arms" movement. I am committed to bringing self-harm awareness to more people so we can stop it.
