See I been through it all
Almost went for the fall
But I kept my head up now I'm doing it all
Prayed every night and now he's answered my call
'Cause another day has gone when
I could've dead
I was a youngun in the streets father
dodging the feds
Remember the days when the police bust through with automatic rifles pointed to my head I was only in third grade just
getting in bed
My uncle was the snitch turned my
whole family in
Mom could've gone to prison
Would've been another black man running away from home on the tv missing with my intuition and my ambition to be
A distant criminal like my real father
go to jail for robbery
And missed out on a lifetime and let
the devils follow me
I remember times when I cried tears
'Cause over the years my struggles have changed and now I'm facing another
fear but I thank God that I'm still alive
and still here

See I been through it all
The fears in my life
I been through it all
Now I'm living life right
So I been through it all
