Lost in our Dreams

We're lost in this life
In our dreams.
Dreams of eternity.
Living in shells.
Surrounded by marble
and mirrors. Reflecting nothing
But the tangible.
How can we see past our delusions?
Are we too foolish to see that life is an illusion?
A blink in the universe.
No, not even so.
How do we go on with the facts?
We don't, we push them back.
I suppose we dream of things
To keep us sane.
To keep us from giving up.
But if we stopped dreaming,
Would we wake up?
