Angels Told Me
Angels told me
 Long ago
 Rivers and mountains could cry

 And the wind could sing
 And the trees could dance
And the water was as clear as the air

 The stars would smile
 And leaves could soar
And clouds could race in the sky

 Until a creature came
 And wiped out their land
Now silence has swept o'er the hills

 Now the wind just howls
 And the trees are slouched
And the clouds slowly drift by

 And the rivers are hushed
 And the mountains stand still
Now the angels cry for them

Isn't it ironic? We ignore the ones who adore us, adore the ones who ignore us, love the ones who hurt us, and hurt the ones that love us.
