How would it be
If we bought the guns you killed our children with?
How would it look
If your CEOs murdered people on live TV?
Not very good
But the euphemisms shroud around what is real
Lovers are fighters, honey
But you don’t even have to lift a finger
But this is how it goes
Or so I’ve been told
Are we living the American dream
Or the nightmare where you can’t breathe?
I’m sayin’
Oh woah this is what it takes
Ignorance and a heart that’s fake
And a mind that could let it go
I don’t think you really know
Look at the odds
We’re down and out and we’re falling behind the rest
Founding fathers
You admire them but would they be proud of you
How ‘bout it now?
Are you okay with 6.4 billion lives
And is this the only song saying how this is not alright?
Chorus
Well welcome to the melting pot
Where the only thing that melts is the snow
Top of the world is getting hot
Tell me, where are you gonna go?
Chaos ensues, cause that’s all we do
We sue right and left
Who is at fault for the life we have lost
And the future we never get?
Chorus
How would it be
If we won’t provide you guns to kill us with?

This was my third original song.  I wrote and recorded it at Sing-your-style studios.  I played and sang American Nightmare at Alice Cooper's 2010 Proof is in the Pudding Finals.  Hope you like it!
