I worry when I don’t know where you are
Where you’ve been, and how long you’ll be gone.
I worry about you my sweet little angel.
Check in so I know you are safe
Oh everything will be okay

I promise
Trust me

I just worry about you

I worry
call your friends
I worry
call your family
I worry
It is best for us both
For you to answer when I call

‘cause I worry about you, my love.

(I worry)
Where are my keys?
(I worry)
Did they sneak away from me?
(I worry)
Please, don’t try to take me as a fool
I love you

I just worry about you

I worry
call your friends
I worry
call your family
I worry
It is best for us both
For you to answer when I call

‘cause I worry about you, my love.

The day is late and so are you
Come over here so I can smell,
Your perfume is overpowered by cologne
I worry
I can tell
You don’t need me
I get lonely
Consumed by all that could go wrong
Do you love me?
I want you to need me.
‘Cause I love you more than anyone else does
So come on, just stay here
You are safer by my side
I worry about you

I worry
I worry
I worry
I worry(gets louder each time)

I just worry about you

I worry
call your friends
I worry
call your family
I worry
It is best for us both
For you to answer when I call

‘cause I worry about you, my love.

(I worry)
You betrayed me
(I worry)
You disobeyed me
(I worry)

You make me
You make me

(I worry)
You betrayed me
(I worry)
You disobeyed me
(I worry)

Why did you make me?
Why did you make me?

No one loves you like me.
Stay here my sweet little angel

I promise to keep you safe
If you promise to stay
‘cause you know how
I worry about you, my love

The author's comments:
I tried to include clues that this wasn't a song about someone who was just madly in love. In this piece, I took the point of view of an abuser rationalizing his/her behavior and to show how it is sometimes hard to see something as abusive. Especially if it is emotional abuse.
