The Children's Song

Hear the children singing
Their voices so soft
Like angel ringing
Hear the whispers at last
The shy ones lifting their faces
To stare at the crowd
Moving in their places
Gradually getting loud

The children singing
Songs of blessing to the old
In their stuttering
Angels are catching hold
Of their hands, their hearts
Are just beginning their walk
With Jesus, it's just the start
The children singing
Songs of joy to you

Hear the children's voices
Waking you from sleep
Hard edges of choices
Don't know how to believe
In the songs of the children
Hear the spirit flow
In innocence of little ones
Perhaps you can know

The children singing
Songs of blessing to the old
In their stuttering
Angels are catching hold
Of their hands, their hearts
Are just beginning their walk
With Jesus, it's just the start
The children singing
Songs of joy to you

Hear the singing end
And the melody lingers
Walk with friends
Clasp warm fingers
In the child by your side
See Christ's face
How you can walk through life
At a child's pace

The children's song
Singing love to your soul
In their bright message
Of faith, belief and hope
Catch hold of their hands
Ask Jesus to hold their hearts
So many things they won't understand
But remember this is just the start
And so much life still to live
So many songs left to sing

In the voices of the children
Hear the angels singing
The chorus of many blessings
Hear them ringing
Know that they sing for you
Hope floats in the air
Hold them close to you
And know Jesus is there

Hear the children singing
A song of joy to you

I watched my sisters' choir concert and was inspired.
