Echo Roar
I never really thought
I was givin away my heart.
The feelings that made me say "I love you",
 Were never really true.
But at the same time, I felt something inside
That let me breathe more easily.
 I stretched my wings,
 And once I leaped,
 I let my heart break

 Chorus•
 When you made the silence
 Louder than the chaos
I couldn't see- What was happenin' to me! Oh,
 With my back to you
 Playin' real smooth.
 You slammed the door;
And you let the echo roar.•

 My head was spinnin',
 Thought the t.v. was on.
 I felt the change
 Right away!
 Hey,
 Doesn't that stuff only happen
 In sad old country songs?
 I turned around
 And gravity pulled me down
 The memories enfolding me

 •Back to Chorus

 ~You were there
 And you were gone
Walkin across what was our lawn
Putting one foot in front of the other..
 I prayed, you'd turn around
But of course that only happens...
 In good old country songs

•When you made the silence Louder than the chaos
I couldn't see... What's gonna happen to me? Oh!
 With my back to you
 Playin' real smooth
 You slammed the door
And you let the echo roar.•
 Yes... You slammed the door...
And you let the echo roar
